CANUCK PLACE CHILDREN’S HOSPICE TO HOST FIFTH ANNUAL GIFT OF LOVE GALA

On Saturday, February 23, 2019 Canuck Place Children’s Hospice will welcome 500 Fraser Valley donors and community partners to celebrate the 5th annual Gift of Love Gala presented by MNP, an elegant evening supporting pediatric palliative care in the community.

 

This signature event will be emceed by Breakfast Television’s Riaz Meghji and will feature unique live and silent auctions, musical entertainment including, the Goh Ballet and Abbotsford Youth Orchestra, as well as inspiring words from Canuck Place parents, and Abbotsford residents, Allan and Melissa McLeod.

Gala Co-Chairs, Jennefer Vanderpol, Lisa Fershau, and Marcie Cyr are leading a passionate volunteer gala committee who has connected with the Fraser Valley community to make this special event a true team effort. With the support of event partners such as Star 98.3, Country 107.1, and Breakfast Television, the evening promises to be a celebration of love and local philanthropy.

All funds raised at the Gift of Love Gala will support the delivery of pediatric palliative care for over 728 children and families facing life-threatening illnesses across British Columbia, with over 47% residing in the Fraser Valley. Canuck Place Children’s Hospice is British Columbia’s pediatric palliative care provider. Over 728 children living with life-threatening illnesses and families receive care from CPCH through outreach programs and two provincial hospice locations: Vancouver and Abbotsford. Services include medical respite and family support, pain and symptom management, 24-hour phone consultation support and in-house clinical care, music, art and recreation therapy, education, grief and loss counselling and end-of-life care.
