6 Binge-Worthy Netflix Shows

So, Game of Thrones is done forever – le sigh. What shall you do to occupy yourselves on Sunday evenings now? Never fear! There are so many great, binge-worthy shows to dig into on Netflix these days. From drama to comedy, kids to teens, here are a few choices to pick from. Or, if you’re like us, just fill you time on Sundays arguing about what you’re going to watch next…

1. Brooklyn Nine Nine

Honestly, one of the best TV comedies out there right now. If you’re no opting to re-watch all 9 seasons of The Office again. This sitcom shows how diversity and representation can and should be done, while remaining smart and hilarious.

“Brilliant but immature Brooklyn detective Jake Peralta must learn to follow the rules and be a team player when his squad gets an exacting new captain.”

2. Altered Carbon

If you’re looking for a Sci-Fi option, this futuristic thriller will do. Filmed in Vancouver, it has mystery, exciting visuals and all the feel-good vibes you’d get from a good Sci-Fi story. And Season 2 should be dropping shortly so you can indulge and continue that nightly binge.

“After 250 years on ice, a prisoner returns to life in a new body with one chance to win his freedom: by solving a mind-bending murder.”

3. The Last Kingdom

If battles and history are your cup of tea, then The Last Kingdom is your ultimate luxury. Gorgeous scenery, actors and storylines, there are three seasons to enjoy and fourth on it’s way.

“As Alfred the Great defends his kingdom from Norse invaders, Uhtred — born a Saxon but raised by Vikings — seeks to claim his ancestral birthright.”

4. The Fall

Need something darker; a little disturbing perhaps? The Fall is twisted but brilliantly directed and acted. I doubt you’ll be able to tear yourself away or see Jamie Dornan in a different light after this one.

“A detective superintendent battles her own personal demons as she tries to get inside the head of a serial killer hiding behind a family-man facade.”

5. Once Upon A Time

This is a favourite in our house. Appropriate for older children and perfectly enchanting for adults. How can you not love fairy tales and Disney being given a new twist? I love the thought that goes into each character’s back story, especially in the earlier seasons. We will be rewatching this one time and time again for years to come.

“In this fantasy series, a young woman is drawn to a small Maine town and discovers that it’s filled with elements of the fairy tale world.”

6. Fuller House

Yeah, yeah, I know. Aunt Becky, how could you? But both my girls have been through the original series a few times now and we were ready for something new. Is it really that bright and fresh? No. Does it deliver something familiar and comforting? Absolutely.

“The Tanner family’s adventures continue as DJ Tanner-Fuller shares a home with her sister Stephanie and friend Kimmy who help raise her three boys.”
