A new season means it’s time to switch our home decor!  Which is why we are here to let you know how you can achieve a home that feels like summer all day and night! Keep reading to find out how you can turn your home into a mini-paradise!

1.PATIO LIGHTS

Outdoor lights really help to set a mood. A mood that definitely makes you think “cozy summer night.” You can put them along railings or of you have hooks, hang them up to create a more put together look.

2. JEWEL TONED ACCENTS

Pops of emerald and teal, indigo and hunter green. It’s about time these fun jewel tones had a moment of their own outside of the kitchen! Bring them around the home in forms of pillows, candle holders, drapes, heck – even accent walls! Have fun with your decorations after all the goal is to love your space!

3. FEMININE COLOURED ACCENTS

Blush and nude tones like blush, dusty pink and bronze or copper. Warm colours and feminine tones are sure to break up any plain jane walls or beds you may have.

4. PLANTS, PLANTS, PLANTS

Biophelia is huge right now.  Everyone and their cousin wants to emphasize the connection  and relationship between nature and humankind. We are a society driven by technology and machinery so having plants indoors brings a nostalgic feel of childhood excitement or a calming effect, helping you to relax more in your own space!

5. POPS OF COLOUR

  • Yellow
  • Pink
  • Green
  • Blue
  • Gold
  • Turquoise

Those are just a few of the infamous summer colours! Whatever shades or tints you choose is personal preference! Napkins, plates, throw blankets, lampshades, and more! Bring more light and life into your home by introducing some bright colours!

6. SUMMER HYGGEHygge is all about being effortlessly cozy! Don’t worry hygge isn’t just limited to the chilly months, it actually takes on a whole new meaning in the summer! Outdoor living is huge in the summer so we suggest throwing down a light coloured rug and not skipping on throw pillows – they make it all the more cozy! Inside your home we suggest lightening up your sheets and throws of choice! Use more natural neutrals such as different variations of beige or grey.

Try to keep the home as bright and simple as you can!
