Let's Dance! Join us in learning folk dances set to ethnic music from around the world, in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Along the way, you will have fun, meet new people, be challenged, and get exercise without even realizing it. Beginners are welcome. If you can walk, you can dance! No partner or costume required.

Folk dancing is an activity for anyone interested in ethnic music and dances or anyone who wants an enjoyable and interesting way to get exercise. Recreational folk dancing introduces people of all ages to music and dances from all over the world. It is great exercise and is so much fun.

How much does the event cost to attend?

Your first night is Free! Then there is a $4 drop-in fee per evening or you can purchase an annual membership.

Once upon a time, in a magical land, four young heroes journey out to find
what they long for most: love, belonging, self worth and an adventure. In
this family friendly musical comedy, the Fairy Godmother Sebille tells a

Hi-Light Festival

31st Annual Hi-Light Festival Month-long Christmas celebration will feature brilliant light display, live entertainment, and festive activities for the whole family. This annual event features a majestic festival of lights with over 150,000 on display over 3 acres.

The opening Light Up festivities begins around 6:30pm, where hot chocolate, live entertainment, and a Light Up countdown will be enjoyed by all!

Heritage Christmas

Join us this Heritage Christmas for a season of old-fashioned fun and spectacular light displays. The Perfect Croissant with Chef Stephan

Crisp on the outside, tender within and soothingly rich and buttery throughout, the classic croissant is a joy to the senses. Believe it or not, you don’t need fancy ingredients or equipment to make your own.

In this class you'll work together with other students in a fun, hands-on environment led by Chef Stephan Schigas of Blacksmith Bakery. Take on the perfect technique and learn step-by-step croissant making, including the right way to laminate dough and how to roll the perfect croissant.

• Learn fundamental skills for a lifetime of great baking
• Work side-by-side with other students to prepare the perfect croissant
• Interact with classmates and Chef Stephan for a rich learning experience
• Classes are 3 1/2 - 4 hours, unless otherwise noted
• Each student takes home what they make (If they don't eat it first!)
• Classes are held in our professional testing kitchen, 15 minutes drive from our artisanal bakeshop & café.

NOTE

Making croissants usually takes more than 6 hours, so we have done a bit of work for you to ensure you have warm, buttery pastries to enjoy at the end of your class. However, during the class you will learn all the proper steps and work needed to create your own croissants at home.

CANCELATIONS

We require 48 hours notice for attendee cancelations in order to offer you a credit for a future class – no refunds.

In the case a class does not fill to 75% capacity it may be re-scheduled to a future date. If your class is re-scheduled you will be able to apply your credit towards any future class we offer if the rescheduled date does not work for you.

Bah Humbug! – an Eastside Christmas Carol celebrating the spirit and humanity of Charles Dickens and the Downtown East Side community. Join us for the 10th annual and final season of this beloved holiday classic!

Juno Award winner Jim Byrnes leads this inspiring musical ensemble which reveals Vancouver’s pressing social issues showcased in a riveting rendition.

Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol is beautifully retold in this contemporary adaptation set within Vancouver’s Downtown East Side. On a dark winter’s night, Scrooge preys upon his desperate clientele as a heartless pawnshop operator/hotel landlord who displaces people through renovictions.

This haunting yet humourous musical, directed by Michael Boucher, features an impressive cast led by Jim Byrnes, Tom Pickett, Kevin McNulty, Sam Bob, Savannah Walling plus the return of Margo Kane. The St. James Music Academy Youth Choir adds their rich voices to this unique adaptation. We are also pleased to welcome back the Governor General’s Caring Canadian Award recipient Stephen Lytton to the production, alongside three new cast members and a musician.

Renowned muralist Richard Tetrault’s iconic images of back alleys, ravens and Vancouver’s portside provide a compelling backdrop to this East Side adaptation. Plus, blues, gospel and industrial rock genres are interspersed with traditional seasonal favourites led by musical director Bill Costin.

Bah Humbug! – an Eastside Christmas Carol celebrating the spirit and humanity of Charles Dickens and the Downtown East Side community. Join us for the 10th annual and final season of this beloved holiday classic!

Juno Award winner Jim Byrnes leads this inspiring musical ensemble which reveals Vancouver’s pressing social issues showcased in a riveting rendition.

Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol is beautifully retold in this contemporary adaptation set within Vancouver’s Downtown East Side. On a dark winter’s night, Scrooge preys upon his desperate clientele as a heartless pawnshop operator/hotel landlord who displaces people through renovictions.

This haunting yet humourous musical, directed by Michael Boucher, features an impressive cast led by Jim Byrnes, Tom Pickett, Kevin McNulty, Sam Bob, Savannah Walling plus the return of Margo Kane. The St. James Music Academy Youth Choir adds their rich voices to this unique adaptation. We are also pleased to welcome back the Governor General’s Caring Canadian Award recipient Stephen Lytton to the production, alongside three new cast members and a musician.

Renowned muralist Richard Tetrault’s iconic images of back alleys, ravens and Vancouver’s portside provide a compelling backdrop to this East Side adaptation. Plus, blues, gospel and industrial rock genres are interspersed with traditional seasonal favourites led by musical director Bill Costin.

Let's Dance! Join us in learning folk dances set to ethnic music from around the world, in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Along the way, you will have fun, meet new people, be challenged, and get exercise without even realizing it. Beginners are welcome. If you can walk, you can dance! No partner or costume required.

Folk dancing is an activity for anyone interested in ethnic music and dances or anyone who wants an enjoyable and interesting way to get exercise. Recreational folk dancing introduces people of all ages to music and dances from all over the world. It is great exercise and is so much fun.

Your first night is Free! Then there is a $4 drop-in fee per evening or you can purchase an annual membership.

Snow White is a classic British Pantomime written by the incomparable and irreplaceable Ellie King with music written by her brilliant husband and partner-in-crime, Geoff King. It wouldn’t be Christmas without a visit to the Panto! Original script and original music form the basis of this magical, sparkling, toe-tapping family show.

Featuring our wonderful mentorship participants, and your favourite panto performers, it’s packed full of all the fun you’ve come to expect from RCTC every year. This is perfect holiday entertainment for the entire family.

About the Story

Snow White, the sassy and ambitious Princess of Happitania, is engaged to marry the Prince of Romanzia, Prince Roland whom she hasn’t seen since she was three years old. Prince Roland, also nervous about his upcoming nuptials, comes to visit Happitania in disguise. Upon meeting, Snow White reveals her discontent to Prince Roland and describes her dreams and aspirations to him. Prince Roland falls in love with her, but his initial disguise is his folly. Snow’s trust is broken and she runs to her family for guidance.

However, her wicked stepmother and stepsister have been plotting behind her back to take over Happitania and Romanzia behind her back! Snow White escapes their dastardly plans and darts into the forest where she meets the D’Warfs: data miners who need someone to run their house while they’re away. But her evil stepsister isn’t done with her quite yet. Snow White does love a nice, red, ripe apple. Oh dear, who can save Snow from her terrible fate?

December 27 (Relaxed Performance)

The relaxed performance is offered for two-for-one value price. The elements of live performance and the expectations around audience behaviour prevent some people from going to the theatre. This performance welcomes everyone, including people with additional support needs plus their families, friends, teachers or guardians. Adjustments will be made to the show itself and regular theatre practices will be relaxed.

What to expect:

• The cast will come on stage before the performance to explain what’s about to happen
• Sound and lighting cues will be less startling or intense
• Strobe lighting and pyrotechnics will not be used and some special effects will be changed
• The doors to the theatre will be left opens o you’re free to come and go
• The lights in the theatre will be left on
• You can make noise, move around, and even use ‘fidget devices’ (phones, iPads, etc) in the theatre

31st Annual Hi-Light Festival Month-long Christmas celebration will feature brilliant light display, live entertainment, and festive activities for the whole family. This annual event features a majestic festival of lights with over 150,000 on display over 3 acres.

The opening Light Up festivities begins around 6:30pm, where hot chocolate, live entertainment, and a Light Up countdown will be enjoyed by all!

A stacked cast of Vancouver Improv Comedians are coming to Langley to perform Saturday Nights!

Fort Night Improv plans on bringing you two, back-to-back 90 min shows, with a 15 minute intermission and full bar once a month on a Saturday night. The show will be spontaneous and fun and hosted by one of us, as the other players are challenged in a series of different improv scenes and games and characters all based on YOUR suggestions. About the Story

Upon meeting, Snow White reveals her discontent to Prince Roland and describes her dreams and aspirations to him. Prince Roland falls in love with her, but his initial disguise is his folly. Let's Dance! Join us in learning folk dances set to ethnic music from around the world, in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Along the way, you will have fun, meet new people, be challenged, and get exercise without even realizing it. Beginners are welcome. If you can walk, you can dance! No partner or costume required.

Folk dancing is an activity for anyone interested in ethnic music and dances or anyone who wants an enjoyable and interesting way to get exercise. Recreational folk dancing introduces people of all ages to music and dances from all over the world. It is great exercise and is so much fun.

Heritage Christmas

Join us this Heritage Christmas for a season of old-fashioned fun and spectacular light displays. A stroll down the streets of the Village is magical; the cedar boughs, soft coloured lights, wreaths and big red bows are welcoming. Vintage-themed shop window displays highlight special winter and Christmas items. The light displays throughout the site will delight.
Special entertainment is scheduled throughout the season including theatre performances, community choirs, street characters and musicians. Many family-favourite activities are back including a craft for children, baking in the Farmhouse and, of course, visits with Father Christmas.

About the Story

Snow White, the sassy and ambitious Princess of Happitania, is engaged to marry the Prince of Romanzia, Prince Roland whom she hasn’t seen since she was three years old. Prince Roland, also nervous about his upcoming nuptials, comes to visit Happitania in disguise. Upon meeting, Snow White reveals her discontent to Prince Roland and describes her dreams and aspirations to him. Prince Roland falls in love with her, but his initial disguise is his folly. Snow’s trust is broken and she runs to her family for guidance.

However, her wicked stepmother and stepsister have been plotting behind her back to take over Happitania and Romanzia behind her back! Snow White escapes their dastardly plans and darts into the forest where she meets the D’Warfs: data miners who need someone to run their house while they’re away. But her evil stepsister isn’t done with her quite yet. Snow White does love a nice, red, ripe apple. Oh dear, who can save Snow from her terrible fate?

31st Annual Hi-Light Festival Month-long Christmas celebration will feature brilliant light display, live entertainment, and festive activities for the whole family. This annual event features a majestic festival of lights with over 150,000 on display over 3 acres.

The opening Light Up festivities begins around 6:30pm, where hot chocolate, live entertainment, and a Light Up countdown will be enjoyed by all!

Every Friday evening during the month of December is dedicated to families! From 5:30pm – 9:00pm, join us as we feature a variety of live entertainment

International Folk Dancing Drop-in Sessions

Let's Dance! Join us in learning folk dances set to ethnic music from around the world, in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Along the way, you will have fun, meet new people, be challenged, and get exercise without even realizing it. Beginners are welcome. If you can walk, you can dance! No partner or costume required.

Folk dancing is an activity for anyone interested in ethnic music and dances or anyone who wants an enjoyable and interesting way to get exercise. Recreational folk dancing introduces people of all ages to music and dances from all over the world. It is great exercise and is so much fun.

Your first night is Free! Then there is a $4 drop-in fee per evening or you can purchase an annual membership.
